Trinity Active Travel Improvement Plan

Closed 18 Nov 2021

Opened 9 Oct 2021

Overview

The historic centre of Trinity is on the junction of key roads and has linear development radiating out from the Church Junction. Active travel has declined with increased motor traffic and changes in the way the community access the parish amenities.

The Parish of Trinity and Government of Jersey have formed a joint project board to undertake this consultation to understand what your views and concerns are regarding barriers to active travel for the historical heart of Trinity and the wider Parish.

In the past the Government of Jersey have worked with other Parishes, such as St Mary and St Lawrence to provide village schemes which have unlocked safer active travel routes for both residents of the area and the wider community. This work has included providing field paths for safer walking routes, traffic calming to reduce vehicle speeds through the heart of the village and even improving accessibility to bus stops which has resulted in an up turn in the number of passengers using the bus in these locations.

Please take your time to look over the information provided and let us know your thoughts and ideas through our questionnaire.

Why your views matter

The purpose of this survey is to gain your views regarding barriers to active travel for the historical heart of Trinity and the wider Parish.  This will help to inform how the project board develop schemes to help overcome some of these issues in the future.
