Overview

The New Healthcare Facilities Programme (NHFP) sets out to deliver the redevelopment of the healthcare estate over the next 10 years to meet future needs of Islanders.

Our dedicated healthcare professionals continue to provide clinical care for Islanders despite the aged buildings and mechanical and electrical plant that will soon not have enough inpatient beds to meet the needs of our population, who are living longer with more complex health needs.

The NHFP seeks to provide modern facilities that are fit for 21st century needs. They will enable the delivery of efficient and effective services contributing to the overall health and well-being of Islanders.

The immediate priority, and first major development for the Programme, is to deliver an Acute Hospital, including an Emergency Department and overnight beds. Overdale has been selected as the preferred site for the Acute Hospital.

Why your views matter

The proposals for the Acute Hospital at Overdale are being informed and developed by work from a wide range of technical specialists to consider clinical, environmental, infrastructure, planning, heritage, construction, social and economic factors.

Public consultation is an important step of the planning process and plays a vital part in the development of the proposals, which is why this is an important opportunity for you to have your say – this can be positive or negative.

Before you complete the survey, please make sure you have read all the information presented as part of the virtual exhibition: nhfp.gov.je

Thank you for taking the time to let us know what you think so we can develop the best possible solution for patients, clinicians and Islanders.

We want to hear from you
